Two modern, dark-sided cabins with black roofs and light wood gables are nestled within a dense pine forest. Extensive light wooden decks connect the structures, which feature large glass windows reflecting the surrounding trees. Golden hour sunlight bathes the scene, illuminating the right sides of the tall pine trunks, the house facades, and the decks, while casting long shadows across the green and reddish-brown ground cover. A green hammock hangs between two foreground trees, near large sunlit boulders and a wooden stump. Several carved wooden deer and a hanging egg chair furnish the outdoor deck areas.
An aerial view shows a vibrant green forest bordering a rocky shoreline and dark blue water. Bright sunlight illuminates the treetops, casting long shadows across the forest floor. A wooden pier extends from the rocky beach into the clear water, revealing submerged rocks beneath the surface.
A low-angle view from a wooden pier extends over a calm lake at sunset. Golden sunlight illuminates the light brown planks in the foreground, reflecting brightly on the rippling dark blue water. To the left, a rocky shoreline with green foliage is backed by tall pine trees, bathed in warm light. Distant hills are silhouetted against the clear sky, which transitions from light blue to a radiant yellow-orange around the setting sun.
A reindeer with mottled grey and dark fur and small antlers stands in a sun-drenched forest clearing. Lush green undergrowth, illuminated by golden light, covers the ground. Behind it, numerous pine trees with green foliage and textured brown trunks rise, with two dark wooden cabins partially visible through the dense woods. The warm, low-angle sunlight casts a golden glow across the entire scene.

The idea was born insearch for real winters

Since I was a child, I have enjoyed winter weather – snow and cold. The search for real winter brought me to Lapland for the first time 27 years ago – and it turned out to be a week of wonders: snowmobile riding, ice fishing, sauna visits, Northern Lights, and much more.

I fell in love with this pristine region, and the idea of spending more time here and setting up something of my own was born.

When I told my wife Andrea about the idea, she had one condition. Our place has to be near of water since it is her favourite element. We looked carefully for a perfect location until our Finnish architect Mikko found the most beautiful spot at Rahajärvi lake in Inari, Lapland. Jari, our brilliant builder, brought our dream to life perfectly, and Bruno, our photographer, captured the cottage and its surroundings in the best possible light.

Why NASTE VILLAS ? "Naste" means in Sami language "star" and stars have an important meaning in their culture. That is why we have included a star in our logo. Sami are the indigenious people of Lapland.

Living your dream in the last wilderness of Europe – we bring you literally to the pure nature

Our principal idea is to offer our guests modern living in the wilderness combined with unique ambience and cosiness. We connect you with the wonderful natural surroundings by using floor-to-ceiling windows. This creates a feeling that you are standing in the middle of the forest. Our motto is“Design meets nature”.

A wide shot captures a large herd of reindeer gathered in a snow-covered forest, with a person tending to them. The trees are heavily blanketed in white snow, creating a dense, frosty backdrop. A person in a dark green hooded jacket stands among the reindeer, looking down at a circular feeder filled with hay. The reindeer exhibit various shades of brown, grey, and white fur, and many have prominent antlers. The ground is covered in deep white snow, illuminated by bright, diffused natural light.A wide shot captures a large herd of reindeer gathered in a snow-covered forest, with a person tending to them. Don’t look at your watch for a while – the concept of time is different here

We often think that we should be able to stop the time, but it’s not possible in real life. This is exactly why we recommend Naste Villas. Just relax and listen to the birds or let your gaze wander over the nature and sceneries of Rahajärvi lake. Read a book on the veranda and notice quietly how reindeer pass by ignoring you. In the winter, take a meditative walk in the snow-covered forests and return to the warmth of the fireplace.

When the night falls and you are lucky, you may see the northern lights dance in the sky. Having experienced several winters here, we like to say: The sky is the limit!
